Ballyclare is a member of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) and a BSIF Registered Safety Supplier. The British Safety Industry Federation is the UK's leading trade body within the safety industry and has over 160 members. The BSIF has been established for more than 20 years and is dedicated to supporting those who keep people safe and healthy while they are at work. Membership demonstrates our commitment to providing high quality, fit for purpose safety products and services.

BSIF created the Registered Safety Supplier scheme to highlight companies who have signed a binding declaration that the safety equipment they offer meets the appropriate standards, fully complies with the PPE regulations and is appropriately CE marked. As a Registered Safety Supplier we have been independently audited to confirm our compliance with the scheme’s requirements. By using us as your Registered Safety Supplier you can be sure "you will only be supplied with genuine, appropriately approved products and you will receive sound advice without any attempt to mislead you".

 

OUR MANAGED AFTER CARE SERVICE CENTRE

At Ballyclare we don't just supply your protective clothing and workwear, also can provide a full 360° service for your organisation. We offer a managed after care service for your workwear and protective clothing and a complete full managed service that includes both the provision of kit and managed after care service laundry service. Our highly knowledgeable and experienced team at our Livingston facility manage everything from collection to delivery and laundry to repair and everything in between to make sure your workwear and firefighter clothing gets the best after care available.

 

ACCREDITATION & MEMBERSHIPS

We are accredited to Module D under the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment (PPE), Module D is an externally-audited accreditation and ‘System for ensuring quality of production by means of monitoring’ and relates to the consistent and compliant manufacture of complex (“life saving”) PPE.

This means you can be confident Ballyclare Module D garments have been manufactured with an approved quality-control system that not only requires auditing of the system documentation, technical files and production site, but also of other premises involved in the process such as head offices and design offices.

We are accredited by international and national organisations and are Royal Warrant holders for the supply of Specialist Fire Protective Clothing By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen through supplying firefighting suits to the Windsor Castle Fire Service.

Ballyclare Limited was one of the first companies in our industry to attain ISO 9001 quality management system accreditation. We also run our business to ISO 14001 environmental management standards and to ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.

We are a member of the Fire Industry Association.    

We are registered members of the UVDB is ‘Utilities Vendor Data Base’ and verified members of the RISQS is ‘Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme’  are used by prospective customers to check suppliers have the relevant qualifications and experience before contacting them with tender opportunities.

Ballyclare is a member of the BTTG PPE Club. We work closely with BTTG, an organisation that tests and certifies Personal Protective Equipment and Construction Products, on our protective clothing and workwear. As a manufacturers of PPE we appreciate the benefits of close communication and access to the expertise of BTTG™ staff that PPE Club Membership brings.

Ballyclare has been assessed and certified against the Cyber Essentials Scheme Test Specification and has achieved the certification level Cyber Essentials under the Scope: Ballyclare Limited Perimeter Network.

Ballyclare is a signatory to the Prompt Payment Code (PPC). Code signatories undertake to pay suppliers on time within the terms agreed at the outset of the contract, give clear guidance to suppliers and encourage good practice. Signing up to the PPC is another example of Ballyclare’s strong commitment to its Corporate and Social Responsibility goals as well as its ongoing drive to become a great company to do business with.

Ballyclare Limited was one of the first companies in our industry to attain ISO 9001 quality management system accreditation. We also hold Article 11B for the manufacture of complex PPE and run our business to ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

We work closely with some of the world’s most innovative organisations including W.L. Gore and Associates (UK) Limited, renowned for their GORE-TEX, GORE-TEX PYRAD® and CROSSTECH® Fabrics, to ensure our workwear is manufactured with the best fabrics and technology available.

 

OUR 'IT' IS STATE-OF-THE-ART

Ballyclare Limited has partnered with leading software vendors to enable us to manage contracts and deliver service beyond the customer expectations.

We have integrated our IT systems with some of our largest customers that has enabled us to exchange paperless data within seconds and our skills, complimented with our ERP system and suite of contract management systems are crucial elements in the level of service we deliver..  

We can provide our customers with a wardrobe solution to manage spend and item issue, as well as to maintain a professional and consistent corporate image. 

Our integrated Garment Service Care module (GSC) records every item allocated and issued by wearer from cradle to grave – all uniquely identified prior to dispatch.  We can securely share all this information electronically with our Managed After Care Service Centre and laundry partners for those customers that we supply with a complete full managed service.

We manage data for thousands of wearers and using our skills and business intelligence tools we can interrogate it to produce reports that can be delivered in a variety of methods or even published on our OrderPlus system.
