RAIL LIVE 2018 - STAND W12

20/21 JUNE - QUINTON RAIL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Visitors to stand W12 at this year’s Rail Live exhibition will be left in no doubt about Ballyclare’s impeccable credentials as a rail industry workwear supplier. We will be displaying our new range of male and female-fit hi-vis polycotton garments which have helped us secure yet another new contract to supply workwear to Network Rail.  Ballyclare already supplies Network Rail with full ranges of both foul-weather and arc protection garments, and this new contract underlines the company’s strength as a specialist supplier to the rail sector.

“We have been providing Network Rail with a wide range of our waterproof foul-weather garments for some time,” explains Roger Foster, Ballyclare’s Sales & Marketing Director. “We also supply them with flame-retardant and arc-protection clothing for their employees who are involved in more demanding and hazardous tasks. Under the new contract we’ve now also begun to deliver our industrially launderable hi-vis polycotton jackets, cargo trousers, polos, T-shirts, fleeces, bodywarmers, safety vests, coveralls and base layers to Network Rail, and these will be displayed on our Rail Live stand.”

This latest rail success underlines Ballyclare’s strength as a major workwear supplier to the sector. “We will be showing the new high visibility polycotton garments which we designed to meet the stringent Network Rail specification,” adds Roger.“Our experience in this sector allows us to really understand the specific demands which it places on workwear. We also worked closely with end-users to find out exactly what they required from us, and this helped us create new workwear which offers improved fit, female fit options, better performance and greater value for money.”

With multiple leg lengths, a wide size range and industrially launderable designs that offer maximum comfort, Ballyclare’s safety garments are the only ones that Network Rail allows its employees to wear, and visitors to the Ballyclare stand will soon come to understand why that is. The company’s innovative, multi-hazard protection wear is the only range of high visibility garments that are fully waterproof and breathable, flame retardant, anti-static and which offer electric arc protection, but which meet the Railway Industry Standard, RIS-3279-TOM.

Ballyclare holds the Royal Warrant for the supply of Specialist Fire Protective Clothing By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen through supplying firefighting suits to the Windsor Castle Fire Service.
